NEW JERSEY – The United States Postal Service will host job fairs during one-day events at shopping centers on Saturday, July 30 and Saturday, August 6 from 9 am until 9 pm.

Postal staff will provide information about delivering for America, answer questions about postal careers, and help applicants to fill 400 delivery roles currently open in New Jersey.

These events will support recruitment for mail delivery positions called Rural Carrier Assistants (RCA) and City Carrier Assistants (CCA). CCA positions pay $18.92 hourly and RCA positions pay $19.06 hourly. Both positions come with fantastic health, vacation time, and sick leave, among other benefits.

Applicants must have a valid driver’s license for two years or more. They must also clear a background check and be in the U.S. for a minimum five years. Health and vacation benefits are available. This appointment may lead to career position with the USPS.

The Postal Service generally receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
