Damage from an automobile accident on Wednesday, March 23, has forced the Postal Service to temporarily close the Mayhill, NM, Post Office located at 3495 US Highway 82.

No postal services are currently available at this location and the facility will remain closed until such time as it can be deemed safe for customers. The blue collection box outside of the office will also be unavailable while the office remains closed. Mail route delivery is not impacted.

Services, including P.O. Box Mail, for Mayhill customers will be available at the Cloudcroft Post Office, 20 Curlew Pl, Cloudcroft, NM, 88317.

Customers from Mayhill who are picking up their P.O. Box mail and packages at the Cloudcroft Post Office can do so Mon-Fri: 8:00am – 4:00pm, and 9:30am – 11:30am on Saturday. The Cloudcroft Post Office is closed on Sunday. A valid picture ID is required to pick up P.O. Box mail.

Customers are reminded that the Post Office is always open, 24/7 including holidays, at www.usps.com. Using usps.com, customers can look up a ZIP Code, request free Priority Mail Flat Rate packaging, hold their mail, set up Premium Forwarding Service, and even print a mailing label and pay for postage using Click-N-Ship.
