New Mexico Wildfire Post Office Impact Update

  • Cleveland Post Office has reopened
  • Watrous Post Office has reopened
  • Rainsville Post Office mail is at the Buena Vista Post Office
  • Rociada Post Office mail is at the Las Vegas Post Office
  • Chacon Post Office mail is at the Mora Post Office
  • Guadalupita Post Office mail is at the Mora Post Office
  • Holman Post Office mail is at the Mora Post Office

Detail –

The U.S. Postal Service has reopened the following offices which were temporarily suspended due to the Calf Canyon/Hermits Peak Fire:

  • Cleveland - 3177 State Highway 518, Cleveland, NM 87715
  • Watrous - 233 Bridge St, Watrous, NM 87753

These offices have resumed full retail and P.O. Box services.

Mail for the following offices has been relocated to the Mora Post Office at 401 Main St, Mora, NM 87732:

  • Chacon - 26 State Highway 121, Chacon, NM 87713
  • Guadalupita - 1447 State Highway 434, Guadalupita, NM 87722
  • Holman - 3543 State Highway 518, Holman, NM 87723

Customers from these offices are directed to go to the Mora Post Office to pick up their mail. The office is open Mon-Fri: 8:00am – 12:00pm and 1:00pm – 4:30pm, and on Sat: 9:00am – 11:00pm. The office is closed Sunday. Customers must provide identification to get their mail.

Mail for the Rainsville Post Office - 42 County Road A029, Rainsville, NM 87736 is relocated to the Buena Vista Post Office - 2191 State Highway 518, Buena Vista, NM 87712. The Buena Vista office is open Mon-Fri: 12:00pm – 4:00pm, and on Sat: 9:00am – 12:00pm. The office is closed Sunday. Customers must provide identification to get their mail.

Mail for the Rociada Post Office - 302 New Mexico Highway 105, Rociada, NM, 87742 continues to be located at the Las Vegas Post Office - 1001 Douglas Ave, Las Vegas, NM, 87701. The Las Vegas office is open Mon-Fri: 8:00am – 5:00pm, and on Sat: 9:00am – 12:00pm. The office is closed Sunday. Customers must provide identification to get their mail.
