Two New Post Office Express Stores Expand Service Options

Ready for the Busy Holiday Season

ALBUQUERQUE, NM – The U. S. Postal Service is pleased to announce two new Post Office Express facilities in Albuquerque, the first at 5850 Eubank NE, Suite B21 and the second at 640 Coors Blvd, Suite 19.

“With the busy holiday season starting to ramp up, we’re ready to help our customers get their important packages and greetings on their way,” said Albuquerque Postmaster Chris Yazzie. “We’re creating easier, more convenient access to products and services when and where our customers want them.”

The Postal Service plans months ahead for the holiday season. It is a busy and rewarding time for New Mexico postal employees as they work around the clock for their customers to ensure all holiday cards and packages are processed and delivered on-time.

Beginning the week of Dec. 5, customer traffic is expected to increase, with the week of Dec. 12-17 predicted to be the busiest mailing, shipping and delivery week. Nearly 250 million customers will visit Post Office locations this season, roughly 4.7 million per day.

Sunday package delivery for the peak season begins Nov. 27 in select major markets.

It’s estimated roughly 149 million people will visit usps.com this season to order free Priority Mail boxes, print shipping labels, purchase postage and even request free next-day Package Pickup.

2022 Holiday Shipping Deadlines

  • Dec. 9 – Overseas Military Mail
  • Dec. 17 – First-Class Mail (greetings cards and letters)
  • Dec. 19 – Priority Mail
  • Dec. 23 – Priority Mail Express

The Postal Service generally receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
