CHIMAYO, NM — The U.S. Postal Service has opened two mobile units in Chimayo located at 694 NM 76, Chimayo, NM, 87522. Operations at the Chimayo Post Office were suspended due to a fire earlier this year. These mobile units will provide limited retail services and offer local pickup of mail and small parcels. Due to space constraints of the mobile units, customer will need to pick up and mail their large parcels at the Santa Cruz, NM, Post Office.

Service hours at the Chimayo mobile units are Mon-Fri from 9:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. – 5:00 p.m., and on Sat. from 9:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. The office is closed Sunday.

Chimayo customers picking up or mailing their large parcels at the Santa Cruz Post Office located at 1701 NM 76, Santa Cruz, NM, can continue doing so during normal business hours: Mon-Fri from 7:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m., and on Sat from 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. The office is closed Sunday.

With limited space available for storing mail inside the mobile units, the Chimayo Post Office team asks customers to pick up their mail daily to avoid exceeding the capacity of the mobile units.
