Sarah Earnest Moriarty Postmaster

MORIARTY, NM – Sarah Earnest was recently named as Moriarty Postmaster, continuing the proud tradition of serving the mailing needs of the community since the first post office was established in the town in 1903.

Earnest began her postal career in nearby Estancia as a part time clerk in 2018.  Since then, she served as an acting supervisor in Santa Fe and as the Officer in Charge (OIC) in Cuba, Estancia, and Placitas post offices. While in Placitas, she was selected as postmaster for the Cuba, NM, Post Office. In March of this year, she returned to Moriarity as the OIC and applied for the position of Postmaster.

She enjoys coloring and spending time with her children and her motto is “Live, Laugh, Deliver.” She is proud to provide the Moriarty community with excellent postal services. “I have always liked Moriarty; it reminds me of home (Mora, NM). I enjoy smaller communities and enjoy helping the community,” she said. “I know how important mail and packages are to our residents and my team and I are committed to maintaining that trust in the Postal Service.”

Earnest manages 4 clerks and serves the area with 3 highway contract routes and 3,800 P.O. Boxes. The office is located at 514 Route 66, Moriarty, NM. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 8:00 am – 5 pm; Saturday 9 am – 1 pm; and closed Sunday.
