USPS Selects Duran as Edgewood Postmaster

EDGEWOOD, NM — Nestor Duran, Jr. was recently named as Edgewood’s seventh Postmaster. The U.S. Navy veteran joined the Postal Service in 1993 as a letter carrier in Albuquerque. He joined the management team in 2022 and previously served as the Moriarty Postmaster.

His hobbies include building cars and riding motorcycles, and he coaches basketball for a private middle school.

“Edgewood is a beautiful, growing city. I look forward to meeting all the customers and making sure their experience at the Edgewood Post Office is a good one,” Duran said. “I take great pride in being a member of the Edgewood postal team.”

Duran manages 12 employees and oversees seven roues with 4,902 deliveries and nearly 1,400 P.O. Boxes. Edgewood Post Office also offers passport and photo services by appointment and walk-in fingerprinting service.

The Edgewood Post Office is located at 13 Plaza Loop, Edgewood, NM. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 8:00 am – 5 pm; Saturday 9 am – 12 pm; and closed Sunday.
