JAMESTOWN, NM — The U.S. Postal Service has closed the Jamestown Contract Post Office effective May 31, 2025.

Services for Jamestown customers will be available at the Continental Divide Post Office, 40 Wrangler Rd, Continental Divide, NM, 87312. Customers with PO Boxes at Jamestown will need to submit a change of address request to transfer their mail to a new PO Box at the Continental Divide Post Office.

There are three ways to update your address with the U.S. Postal Service:

1. Visit USPS.com and select "Change of Address", then follow the instructions.
2. Fill out a PS Form 3575 (Change of Address Form) at your local post office.
3. Request assistance from a retail associate at the Continental Divide Post Office.

Customers from Jamestown who are picking up their P.O. Box mail and packages at the Continental Divide Post Office can do so Mon-Fri: 10:30am – 2:30pm, and 9:00am – 12:00pm on Saturday. The Continental Divide Post Office is closed on Sunday.

Customers are reminded that the Post Office is always open, 24/7 including holidays, at www.USPS.com. Using USPS.com, customers can look up a ZIP Code, request free Priority Mail Flat Rate packaging, hold their mail, set up Premium Forwarding Service, and even print a mailing label and pay for postage using Click-N-Ship.
