Emergency Suspension for Chambers Post Office

No injuries. Building closed until further notice

The U.S. Postal Service has implemented an emergency suspension of the Chambers Post Office effective immediately.

As a result of recent flooding, the Postal Service is temporarily suspending operations at the following Post Office:

  • Chambers Post Office

800 Highway 191
Chambers, AZ 86502-1701

Until further notice, all retail operations at Chambers Post Office will be conducted at the following location:

  • Sanders Post Office

100 Highway 191 S
Sanders, AZ 86512-9990

The Sanders Post Office is open Mon-Fri: 08:30am – 4:30pm. The office is closed on Saturday.                   
              
Customers from Chambers can pick up P.O. Box mail at Sanders at the retail counter during normal business hours. A valid picture ID is required to pick up P.O. Box mail. This is an emergency suspension of this office, not a permanent closure. Additional details will be provided as they become available regarding the reopening of this office.

Customers are reminded that the Post Office is always open, 24/7 including holidays, at www.usps.com. Using usps.com, customers can look up a ZIP Code, request free Priority Mail Flat Rate packaging, hold their mail, set up Premium Forwarding Service, and even print a mailing label and pay for postage using Click-N-Ship.

The Postal Service generally receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
