Special Cancellation Stamp for Nevada Day

What:

The Carson City Post Office is excited to commemorate Nevada Day with a Special Cancellation Postmark and would like the community to assist with the design. Carson City Postmaster Daniel Adams is seeking imaginative artwork inspired by this year’s Nevada Day parade theme 'Wild Wild West' or that embodies the spirit of Nevada.

The postmark will be used for Nevada Day celebrations on October 31, 2025.

The postmark must include the following information:

Nevada Day Station (can abbreviate to Nevada Day Sta.)
Carson City, NV 89701

Overall dimension of the pictorial postmark must not exceed 4 inches horizontally and 2 inches vertically.

All graphic designs used in pictorial postmarks should be sharp and clear so that they will reproduce well on a rubber composition hand postmarking device.
