USPS Unveils New Henderson Sorting & Delivery Center, Bringing Faster, More Reliable Service to Nevada

New Henderson Sorting Facility

Henderson, NV — The U.S. Postal Service has opened a new state-of-the-art Sorting & Delivery Center (SDC) in Henderson, Nevada, marking a major milestone in its nationwide effort to modernize operations and improve service for local residents.

The facility, which was unveiled during a special event attended by employees, is designed to streamline package and mail processing, ensuring faster deliveries and a more efficient network. With an investment of more than $32 million in Nevada infrastructure – including renovating three facilities and more than 400 new delivery vehicles – the Postal Service is reshaping how mail and packages move throughout the state.

“We’re transforming our operations to meet the evolving needs of our customers,” said District Manager Don Kravos. “The new Henderson SDC is part of our commitment to delivering faster, more reliable service while creating a better workplace for our dedicated employees.”

This initiative is part of a broader, $40 billion investment across the nation aimed at improving delivery reliability, efficiency, and employee working conditions. In Nevada, these upgrades mean shorter wait times, improved package tracking, and enhanced safety measures for the more than 5,000 USPS employees serving the state.

The Postal Service’s nationwide infrastructure investments continue to put the organization on a positive trajectory, ensuring it remains a trusted, high-performing delivery provider for every American household. For more information on the Postal Service’s remarkable progress under its ambitious 10-year strategic plan, please visit usps.com.
