New York City Post Offices Work Passports on Presidents Day!

NEW YORK, NY — While most federal locations will be closed because of the Presidents Day holiday, the US Postal Service in New York City has special passport-only office hours from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Post Offices across all five boroughs.

That means that on Monday, February 18, customers can stop by the following Post Offices to obtain or renew their travel document – just in time for warmer weather!

Passports now take around 6 to 8 weeks to process, so whether it is for winter getaways, spring breaks, or simply updating your expired travel document, the Post Office has you covered!

What customers need to apply:

  1. Passport Application DS11 (not signed)
  2. Original Proof of U.S. Citizenship
  3. Present valid government issued-ID
  4. Passport Photo- Available at each USPS Location
  5. Passport fees
  6. ALL applicants must appear in person
  7. All minors under the age 16 must appear with BOTH parents.
