Richford NY – It’s the last day to collect mail from post office boxes outside the Country Folks Diner in Richford, postal officials report.
The 27 active post office boxholders who used the Village Post Office found outside the Diner, located at 13334 State Route 38, received notices that the boxes will be temporarily relocated to the Berkshire Post Office, 12324 State Route 38.
Customers will not have to change their addresses as a result of the relocation of the boxes.
Hours at the Berkshire Post Office are 8 am to 11:30 am and 12L30 pm to 3 pm weekdays, and 9 am to 11 am on Saturdays.
Lobby hours are 8 am to 5 pm weekdays and 7:30 am to 11:30 am on Saturdays. The Berkshire Post Office is closed on Sundays.
The Country Folks Diner was sold last summer and postal contracts for Village Post Offices are not transferable, officials added.
The Richford Post Office, which has been on a suspension, will undergo reconstruction later this spring. When complete, these 27 PO boxes will be restored to that facility.
