Sullivan County Post Office Hosting Small Business Week Event

SULLIVAN COUNTY, NY — Since 1963, one week each year is designated as National Small Business Week in the United States. In support of this year’s National Small Business Week, May 5 – 11, the Woodbourne Post Office, 6161 State Route 42, in Sullivan County will host a “Grow Your Business” event on Friday, May 10 from 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. Postal officials will be on hand to provide business owners and entrepreneurs with valuable information and advice about easy-to-use and affordable offerings that help small businesses grow and innovate.

According to the Small Business Administration, more than half of Americans either own or work for a small business, and they create about two out of every three new jobs in the U.S. each year. In addition to services like Priority Mail that help small business ship economically, the Postal Service offers numerous solutions to assist businesses with their marketing efforts such as Every Door Direct Mail.

Additional Post Offices supporting the National Small Business Week initiative in the Greater Hudson Valley include: Port Chester in Westchester County on Tuesday, May 7 from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m., Highland Mills in Orange County on Tuesday, May 7 from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m., Bearsville in Ulster County on Wednesday, May 8 from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m., Hartsdale in Westchester County on Thursday, May 9, from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m., and Fishkill in Dutchess County on Friday, May 17 from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.
