WEST NYACK, NY— The Postal Service’s Palisades Center Postal Store, 3302 Palisades Center Drive in West Nyack is the only Post Office in the area that will be open on Thursday, July 4 – Independence Day. Retail hours are 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. on the holiday. Passport applications will also be accepted from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

On the July 4 federal holiday, only Priority Mail Express will be delivered and most Post Offices will be closed across the country. Normal mail delivery, collections, and retail services will resume on Friday, July 5.

The Palisades Postal Store is one of thousands of Post Offices around the country that can accept passport applications on behalf of the United States Department of State. Passport photos can also be taken on-site for an additional fee.

The Postal Service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
