NEW YORK, NY — In the interest of safety and security, postal officials will seal or remove Postal Service collection boxes on Saturday August 3, in New York City.

The familiar blue collection boxes will be inaccessible on Saturday August 3.  

Impacted collection boxes will be reopened on Monday, August 5.

US Mail Collection Boxes impacted at the following locations:

• Both Sides of 38th Street – between 5th Avenue and Park Avenue
• Both Sides of Madison Avenue  – between 38th Street and 23rd Street
