NYC Collection Boxes in the Area Receive Temporary Seal / Removal

NEW YORK, NY – In the interest of safety and security, postal officials will seal or remove Postal Service collection boxes on Saturday, August 31, in New York City.

The familiar blue collection boxes will be inaccessible Saturday, August 31.  

Impacted collection boxes will be reopened on Tuesday, September 3.

  • Both Sides of Flatbush Avenue – between Grand Army Plaza and Empire Boulevard
  • Both Sides of Empire Boulevard – between Flatbush Avenue and Brooklyn Avenue (Including Collection Boxes at James E. Davis Station)
  • Both Sides of Nostrand Avenue – between Empire Boulevard and Winthrop Street
  • Both Sides Eastern Parkway (Including Service Roads) – between Ralph Avenue and Grand Army Plaza
  • Both Sides of Saint Johns Place – between Ralph Avenue and Grand Army Plaza (Including Collection Boxes at Saint Johns Place Station)
  • Both Sides of Lincoln Place – between Ralph Avenue and Underhill Avenue
