Marcellus NY – The Postal Service’s Marcellus Post Office, 9 East Main Street, will resume daily operations effective Monday, September 9.

Street delivery will see no change in service and post office box service will resume onsite in the Post Office.  Box holders are reminded to bring their key for service.

On August 26, the facility temporarily discontinued daily operations due to an illegally mailed package containing mercury.

Postal management has worked with professional environmental contractors and regulators to evaluate, clean and certify the safety of the facility. Remediation efforts and compliance with environmental regulations have been completed.

Weekday hours at the Marcellus Post Office are 8:30 am to 11:30 am and 12:30 pm to 5 pm.  Saturday hours are 9 am to noon.  Lobby hours are 6 am to 5:30 pm on weekdays and 6 am to 3 pm on Saturdays.
