Postal Service schedule for Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve
NEW YORK, NY – On Tuesday, December 24, all Bronx postal locations will close at 5 pm unless they normally close earlier. Manhattan retail stations will close at 12 pm, 3 pm, 5 pm, and the James A. Farley Post Office Building will be open until 7 pm.

On Tuesday, December 31, all retail locations in Manhattan and the Bronx are open and operating at regular business hours.
No retail service will be available on the holidays of Christmas and New Year’s Day, but postal services can be found online anytime at usps.com.
The Postal Service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
