Brooklyn’s Bush Terminal Post Office, serving bustling Industry City, moves to new location

Brooklyn, NY — It’s no secret that Industry City is transforming Sunset Park’s waterfront. The Postal Service is proud to announce a transformation of its own: a brand-new Post Office location to serve this bustling community of commerce and artistry.

On Saturday, October 10, 2020, Postal Service officials will begin the long-anticipated Bush Terminal move to a new location: 775 4 Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11232.

The last day at the old facility, located at 900 3 Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11232, will be Friday, October 9, 2020 at 5 p.m.

To facilitate the move, the Bush Terminal lobby, retail services and Post Office Box availability will be closed for one day on Saturday, October 10, 2020.

After the Columbus Day federal holiday observed on Monday, October 12, the new Bush Terminal Post Office will open on Tuesday, October 13, 2020 at 9 a.m.

Post Office Boxes will be moved without interruption to service and there is no change of address requirement for Post Office Box owners.

Customers will retain the same Post Office Box key. Any mail that is not picked up by October 9, 2020 will be moved carefully and safely to the new facility and will be available for pick up during regular retail hours of operation. The hours will remain the same: Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
