ROCHESTER, NY — USPS is hiring for holiday help.

The USPS is hiring about 300 candidates to work in its mail processing facilities   – Rochester Processing & Distribution Center (P&DC), 1335 Jefferson Road, Rochester; NW Rochester P&DC, 1700 Lyell Avenue, Rochester; and an annex at 2600 Manitou Road, Rochester.

The Mail Handler Assistant (MHA) position is now open through October 11. There will be additional postings throughout the month. Applicants can expect to start as early as November 7 and work through January 1; most shifts are in the evening or overnight hours. The salary is $16.55 per hour.  These positions have the potential to lead to a career position.

In addition, the Postal Service is hiring holiday long-term, non-career positions including Postal Support Employees (PSEs), City Carrier Assistants (CCAs) and Rural Carrier Assistants (RCAs) in the greater Rochester area.
