Sunday Post Office Package Pick-up Possible for Holiday Season

WHITE PLAINS NY — Did you get a notice of attempted delivery in your mailbox? To ease the holiday season hustle and bustle, Westchester District postal officials are announcing the expansion of package pick-up to include Sundays during the holiday season at 22 Post Offices across the Hudson Valley. The four holiday season Sundays are November 29, December 6, 13, and 20.

The Westchester District Post Offices with holiday season Sunday package pickup hours from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. include: Bronxville 10708, Carmel 10512, Hastings on Hudson 10706, Larchmont 10538, Mamaroneck 10543, Mount Vernon 10550, Monsey 10952, Nanuet 10954, Ossining 10562, Pawling 12564, Peekskill 10566, Port Chester 10573, Rye 10580, Scarsdale 10583, Tarrytown 10591, Tuckahoe 10707, Warwick 10990, Yonkers-Centuck 10710, Yonkers-East 10704, Yonkers-Greystone, Yonkers – South,  Yorktown Heights.

When it comes to mailing and shipping holiday gifts and packages, Westchester postal officials recommend using free Priority Mail Flat Rate boxes. They are available at many Post Office locations or online at usps.com/freeboxes. Shippers can also create shipping labels online with postage at usps.com/ship and schedule a free Package Pickup for outgoing shipments at usps.com/pickup.

The Postal Service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
