Post Offices Will Close in Westchester & Hudson Valley
WESTCHESTER NY — Postal officials report that all Post Offices will be closing effective 3:00pm on February 1, 2021 due to dangerous weather conditions forecast throughout the region. There will be no mail delivery as a result.
Normal Post Office hours of operation are expected to resume as soon as it is deemed safe to do so.
If you have any questions regarding mail delivery, you can contact the Postal Service Customer Care Center at 1-800-ASK-USPS (275-8777) or visit www.usps.com, at our special USPS Service Alerts section found at http://about.usps.com/news/service-alerts/welcome.htm. You will be provided specific information regarding delivery and retail services for each office in the affected area.
The Postal Service’s Westchester District includes the communities with ZIP Codes that begin with 105, 106, 107, 108, 109, 124, 125, 126, and 127.
Employees are encouraged to call into the Postal Service’s emergency number to confirm the status of reporting to work for their shift and their location.
The Postal Service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
