Postal Service Observes Memorial Day on May 31

UPSTATE NEW YORK — The Postal Service reminds customers that Post Offices will be closed for retail transactions on Monday, May 31 to observe Memorial Day. There will be no residential or business deliveries, caller service or Post Office Box service. All services will resume on Tuesday, June 1. The Post Office will be open regularly scheduled hours on Saturday, May 29.

For 24/7 access to most postal products and services, go to www.usps.com where you can look up a ZIP Code, track a package, buy stamps, hold mail, print postage online, submit a change of address, schedule a package pickup and find Post Office locations including self-service kiosks.  Self Service Kiosks are accessible 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

To obtain the phone number of a specific Post Office, customers may call 1-800-ASK-USPS.

The Postal Service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
