NYC Collection Boxes in the Area Receive Temporary Seal / Removal

NEW YORK, NY – In the interest of safety and security, postal officials will seal or remove Postal Service collection boxes on Tuesday, July 6, in New York City.

The familiar blue collection boxes will be inaccessible after the final scheduled collection of mail on the evening of Tuesday, July 6.

Impacted collection boxes will be reopened on the morning of Thursday, July 8.

Manhattan

  • Both Sides of Broadway – between Worth Street and Battery Place
  • Both Sides of Chambers Street – between Church Street and Centre Street
  • Both Sides of Worth Street - between Broadway and Lafayette street
  • Both Sides of Lafayette Street - between Worth Street and Center Street
  • Both Sides of Centre Street – between Brooklyn Bridge and Chambers Street
  • Both Sides of Battery Place – between Broadway and West Thames Street
  • Both Sides of Little West Street – between Third Place and Battery Place
  • Both Sides of Reade Street – between Church Street and Lafayette Street
  • Both Sides of Park Row – between Brooklyn Bridge and Broadway
