NYC Collection Boxes in the Area Receive Temporary Seal / Removal

NEW YORK, NY – In the interest of safety and security, postal officials will seal or remove Postal Service collection boxes on Saturday, August 28, in New York City.

The familiar blue collection boxes will be inaccessible after the final scheduled collection of mail on the evening of Saturday, August 28.

Impacted collection boxes will be reopened on the morning of Monday, August 30.

US Mail Collection Boxes impacted at the following locations

  1. Both Sides of Church Street – between Canal Street and Rector Street
  2. Both Sides of Trinity Street – between Rector Street and Morris Street
  3. Both Sides of Greenwich Street – between Morris Street and Battery Place
  4. Both Sides of Washington Street – between Morris Street and Battery Place
  5. Both Sides of Battery Place – between Washington Street and Broadway
  6. Both Sides of Canal Street – between Varick Street and Greene Street
