USPS Makes Way for the 2021 Tunnel to Towers Run

Collection Boxes in the Area Receive Temporary Seal / Removal

NEW YORK, NY – In the interest of safety and security, postal officials will seal or remove Postal Service collection boxes on Saturday, September 25, in New York City.

The familiar blue collection boxes will be inaccessible after the final scheduled collection of mail on the evening of Saturday, September 25.  
Impacted collection boxes will be reopened on the morning of Monday, September 27.

US Mail Collection Boxes impacted at the following locations:

Manhattan:

  • Both Sides of West Street – between Battery Place  and Warren Street
  • Both Sides of Liberty Street – between West Street and Battery Park Esplanade
  • Both Sides of Battery Park Esplanade / North End Avenue – between Liberty Street and River Terrace
  • Both Sides of River Terrace – between North End Avenue and Warren Street
  • Both Sides of Warren Street – between River Terrace and West Street
  • Both Sides of Vesey Street – between North End Avenue and Church Street

Brooklyn:

  • Both Sides of Imlay Street – between Pioneer Street and Bowne Street
  • Both Sides of Hamilton Avenue – between Hicks Street and Van Brunt Street
  • Both Sides of Richards Street – between Delavan Street and Pioneer Street
