NEW YORK, NY — In the interest of safety and security, postal officials will seal or remove Postal Service collection boxes on Wednesday, November 24, in New York City.

The familiar blue collection boxes will be inaccessible after the final scheduled collection of mail on the evening of Wednesday, November 24.  

Impacted collection boxes will be reopened on the morning of Friday, November 25.

US Mail Collection Boxes impacted at the following locations:

• Both sides of Central Park West-between 59th street and 61st street.
• Both sides of Columbus Avenue-between 59th street and 61st street.
• All boxes in and around Columbus Circle.
• Both sides of Central Park South (59th street)-between Columbus Circle and Madison Avenue.
• Both sides of 6th Avenue-between Central Park South (59th street) and 31st street.
• Both sides of Broadway-between 42nd street and 34th street.
• Both sides of 7th Avenue-between 42nd street and 30th street.
• Both sides of 8th Avenue-between 35th street and 31st street.
• Both sides of 42nd street-between 5th Avenue and 8th Avenue.
• Both sides of 40th street-between 6th Avenue and 8th Avenue.
• Both sides of 39th street-between 6th Avenue and 8th Avenue.
• Both sides of 38th street-between 6th Avenue and 8th Avenue.
• Both sides of 37th street-between 6th Avenue and 8th Avenue.
• Both sides of 36th street-between 6th Avenue and 8th Avenue.
• Both sides of 35th street-between 6th Avenue and 8th Avenue.
• Both sides of 34th street-between 5th Avenue and 9th Avenue.
• Both sides of 33rd street-between 6th Avenue and 8th Avenue.
• Both sides of 32nd street-between 6th Avenue and 8th Avenue.
• Both sides of 31st street-between 6th Avenue and 8th Avenue.
