QUEENS, NY — Friday, Dec. 10, students will take to the streets once again for the annual Outward Bound College March. The cause? To stamp their college applications. High school seniors from around the city take this opportunity to celebrate the milestone of mailing the final step towards their future.

“We are thrilled to be an integral part of the journey from high school to college,” said USPS District Manager Frank Calabrese. “We have been doing this almost a decade and it means a lot to the kids – and to the community – when they feel supported and celebrated. We are happy to help these kids stamp their future,” Calabrese added.

This year, Post Offices and designated locations in all five boroughs will host 11 of these events.

Some students mail actual college applications while others who apply online simply write thank you notes to people who helped them along the way.

Students will be at these Queens locations to deposit their letters:

• Far Rockaway: ZIP Code 11694
  USPS Truck will be parked on Beach Channel Educational Campus - 100-00 Beach Channel Drive – supporting Channel View School.
• Forest Hills: ZIP Code 11375
  USPS truck will be parked on school campus at 91-30 Metropolitan Ave, Forest Hills, NY 11375 – supporting Metropolitan Expeditionary Learning School (MELS).
• Cambria Heights: ZIP Code 11411
  USPS truck parked at 207- 01 116th Ave, Queens, NY 11411 – supporting Institute for Health Professions at Cambria Heights (IHPCH).

Now in its ninth year, the events are estimated to collectively draw over 2,000 high school seniors.
In addition to the above locations in Queens, Post Office officials are assisting students in the following sites:
Staten Island:

1. New Springville: Zip Code 10314. USPS truck parked at 100 Essex Dr. – supporting Gaynor McCown High School.

Brooklyn:

1. Bensonhurst: ZIP Code 11214. USPS Truck parked at Bay 43rd Street between Benson & Bath Ave. – supporting Leaders High School.  
2. Red Hook: Zip Code 11231, at the Red Hook Post Office located at 615 Clinton St. – supporting Brooklyn Collaborative High School.
3. East Flatbush: Zip Code 11203, at the East Flatbush Post Office located  
   post office at 1284 Utica Avenue and Ave. D. – supporting Kurt Hahn High School.
   

Manhattan:
