Effective Tuesday Feb. 22, 2022 the Carlisle Post Office located at 2429 US Highway 20, Carlisle, NY will be closed until further notice due to the expiration of our lease.

Current PO Box customers in Carlisle can retrieve their mail at the:

Saturday 9 am - 11:30 am

Carlisle PO Box customers will receive their mail over the retail counter in Sharon Springs.  Be prepared to show a photo ID when claiming your mail.

Mail delivery to Carlisle street addresses remains unaffected.  However, customers will be directed to the Sharon Springs Post Office to pick up vacation mail, signature-required items, or oversized articles.

Efforts to locate a location for a new Post Office in Carlisle are underway.

The Postal Service generally receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products, and services to fund its operations.
