USPS Makes Way for Annual New York City St. Patrick's Day Parade

Collection Boxes in the Area Receive Temporary Seal / Removal

NEW YORK, NY – In the interest of safety and security, postal officials will seal or remove Postal Service collection boxes on Thursday, March 17, in New York City.

The familiar blue collection boxes will be inaccessible on Thursday, March 17, 2022.

Impacted collection boxes will be reopened on the morning of Friday, March 18, 2022.

Please note this is a tentative list that is subject to change as additional information is obtained from the NYPD and other law enforcement sources.

US Mail Collection Boxes impacted at the following locations:

  • Any/All USPS Collection Boxes on 5 Ave. between 42 St. and 87 St.
  • Any/All USPS Collection Boxes on 6 Ave. between 44 St. and 48 St.
  • Any/All USPS Collection Boxes on Madison Ave. between 43 St. and 48 St.  
  • Any/All USPS Collection Boxes on Park Ave. at 47 St.
  • Any/All USPS Collection Boxes on 43 St. between 5 Av. And 6 Ave.
