NEW YORK, NY — The U.S. Postal Service (USPS) today recognized two area companies for mailing industry innovation and industry best practices at the largest annual trade show in the country for the mailing industry. Awards were presented to UNTUCKit and BariatricPal during the final day of the National Postal Forum, held this year in Phoenix. They were among 12 companies recognized nationwide.
The awards were presented to customers in three categories: the Mailing and Digital Innovation Award, the Shipping and eCommerce Innovation Award and the Innovation and Growth Award.
The Mailing and Digital Innovation Award recognizes customers who demonstrate creativity by finding new methods to use mail to drive significant business results and mail growth. The Shipping and eCommerce Innovation Award honors customers who have used industry best practices to implement new technologies to maximize efficiencies, and to convert requests for purchase and fulfillment into package volume reflecting significant business results. The Innovation and Growth Award recognizes companies that have taken steps to position themselves for significant growth with the U.S. Postal Service as their partner. They have employed innovative strategies or operational improvements to rapidly grow and deliver increased value and business results. There were winners in each of the Postal Service’s four geographic areas across the nation: Atlantic, Central, Southern and WestPac.
UNTUCKit received the Atlantic Area Mailing and Digital Innovation Award. Founded in 2010 and headquartered in New York City, UNTUCKit is an American privately held apparel company.
The company manufactures adult smart casual apparel sold through 82 retail stores and online, and is best known for men’s dress shirts that are purposely made to be worn untucked. The UNTUCKit marketing team developed their initial direct mail campaign in 2016 and have since grown the program, impressed with the incremental revenue it has generated. Since 2020, and thanks to their partnership with the Postal Service, UNTUCKit has also tapped into digital landing pages through QR codes and Informed Delivery to complement their direct mail program, with very positive results.
BariatricPal, located in Inwood, NY, received the Atlantic Area Shipping and eCommerce Innovation Award. BariatricPal is one of the well-established suppliers and distributors of bariatric health and nutrition supplements.
CEO and founder Alex Brecher underwent weight-loss surgery. After failed attempts to find foods to support his health, he created BariatricPal. The BariatricPal Store is an e-commerce source for bariatric needs. BariatricPal created a new mobile experience that drove customers to their website and caused the company to reexamine packaging. By partnering with the Postal Service and using weight/zone and cubic boxes, BariatricPal stays one step ahead of the competition.
