USPS Prepares for the 21st Anniversary of the World Trade Center Attack Memorial Service

NYC Collection Boxes in the Area Receive Temporary Seal / Removal

NEW YORK, NY — In the interest of safety and security, postal officials will temporarily seal or remove Postal Service collection boxes on Saturday, September 10, in New York City.

The familiar blue collection boxes will be inaccessible Saturday, September 10.  

Impacted collection boxes will be reopened on Monday, September 12.

US Mail Collection Boxes impacted at the following locations:

  • Church Street from Park Place to Albany Street.
  • Cedar Street from West Street to Church Street.
  • Liberty Street from South End Avenue to Broadway.
  • Vesey Street from North End Avenue to Church Street.
  • Barclay Street from West Street to Broadway.
  • West Street from Albany Street to Murray Street.
  • Washington Street from Albany Street to Barclay Street.
