USPS Prepares for the St. Patrick's Day Parade

NYC Collection Boxes in the Area Receive Temporary Seal / Removal

NEW YORK, NY – In the interest of safety and security, postal officials will temporarily seal or remove Postal Service collection boxes on Thursday, March 16, in New York City.

The familiar blue collection boxes will be inaccessible Friday, March 17.

Impacted collection boxes will be reopened on Saturday, March 18.

US Mail Collection Boxes impacted at the following locations:

  • 43rd Street between 6th Avenue and Vanderbilt Avenue
  • 44th Street between 6th Avenue and Vanderbilt Avenue
  • 45th Street between 6th Avenue and Vanderbilt Avenue
  • 46th Street between 6th Avenue and Madison Avenue
  • 47th Street between 6th Avenue and Park Avenue
  • 48th Street between 6th Avenue and Park Avenue
  • 5th Avenue between 42nd Street and 86th Street
  • 50th Street between 6th Avenue and Madison Avenue
  • 51st Street between 6th Avenue and Madison Avenue
