NYC Collection Boxes in the Area Receive Temporary Seal / Removal
NEW YORK — In the interest of safety and security, postal officials will temporarily seal or remove Postal Service collection boxes on Friday, May 19, in New York City.
The familiar blue collection boxes will be inaccessible until reopened on Monday, May 22.
US Mail Collection Boxes impacted at the following locations:
Washington Avenue between Eastern Parkway and Empire Blvd.
Empire Blvd between Washington Avenue and Flatbush Avenue.
Flatbush Avenue between Empire Blvd and Grand Army Plaza.
Any/All collection boxes around Grand Army Plaza/Prospect Park.
Ocean Avenue between Empire Blvd and Parkside Avenue.
Parkside Avenue between Ocean Avenue and Park Circle.
Any/All collection boxes around Park Circle.
Any/All collection boxes inside Prospect Park (if applicable).
Ocean Parkway between Fort Hamilton Parkway to Surf Avenue.
Surf Avenue between Ocean Parkway and 10th Street.
10th Street between Surf Avenue and Riegelmann Boardwalk.
Any collection boxes on Riegelmann Boardwalk between 10th Street and Tom’s Restaurant (1229 Riegelmann Boardwalk).
