Delivering for America Postmaster Makes Bronx History

Adela Livingston

What:

In the two years since the United States Postal Service advanced the Delivering for America 10-year plan, it is evident things are paying off through both improved delivery for the American people – and through the history-making appointment of Adela Livingston as Executive Postmaster of the Bronx.

Adela Livingston becomes just the 13th U.S. Postmaster of the Bronx – and the first woman of Trinidadian nationality to serve as Executive Postmaster of the Bronx.

Postmaster Livingston is now responsible for administering postal operations for around 1.5 million Bronx residents. She is supported by almost 1600 employees who provide services through 24 delivery units and 22 finance stations. She is responsible for delivery to more than 533,343 residential and business delivery points across the borough’s 42 square miles.
