USPS Prepares for the 59th annual Hispanic Day Parade

Collection Boxes in the Area Receive Temporary Seal / Removal

NEW YORK – In the interest of safety and security, postal officials will temporarily seal or remove Postal Service collection boxes on Saturday, October 7, in New York City.

The familiar blue collection boxes will be inaccessible until reopened on Tuesday, October 10.

US Mail Collection Boxes impacted at the following locations:

Formation Area:

  1. 43rd Street between 5th Avenue and Madison Avenue.
  2. 44th Street between 5th Avenue and Madison Avenue.
  3. 45th Street between 5th Avenue and Madison Avenue.
  4. 46th Street between 5th Avenue and Madison Avenue.
  5. 47th Street between 5th Avenue and Madison Avenue.

Parade Route:

  1. 5th Avenue between 42nd Street and 79th Street.

St. Patrick’s Cathedral:

  1. 50th Street between 6th Avenue and Madison Avenue.
  2. 51st Street between 6th Avenue and Madison Avenue.
