NYC Collection Boxes in the Area Receive Temporary Seal / Removal

NEW YORK – In the interest of safety and security, postal officials will temporarily seal or remove Postal Service collection boxes on Wednesday, November 22, in New York City.

The familiar blue collection boxes will be inaccessible until reopened on Friday, November 24.

US Mail Collection Boxes impacted at the following locations:

  • West 77th Street between Central Park West and Columbus Avenue.
  • West 81st Street between Central Park West and Columbus Avenue.
  • Both sides of Central Park West between West 77th Street and West 86th Street
  • Both sides of Central Park West between West 77th Street and Columbus Circle.
  • Both sides of West 59th Street between Columbus Circle and 5th Avenue.
  • Both sides of 6th Avenue between West 32nd Street and West 59th Street.
  • Both sides of West 42nd Street between 5th Avenue and 8th Avenue.
  • Both sides of West 34th Street between 5th Avenue and 8th Avenue.
  • Both sides of 7th Avenue between West 41st Street and West 31st Street.
  • Both sides of West 35th Street between 5th Avenue and 8th Avenue.
  • Both sides of West 36th Street between 5th Avenue and 8th Avenue.
  • Both sides of West 37th Street between 5th Avenue and 8th Avenue.
  • Both sides of West 38th Street between 5th Avenue and 8th Avenue.
