NYC Collection Boxes in the Area Receive Temporary Seal / Removal

NEW YORK — In the interest of safety and security, postal officials will temporarily seal or remove Postal Service collection boxes on Tuesday, February 6, in New York City.

The familiar blue collection boxes will be inaccessible until reopened on Thursday, February 8.

US Mail Collection Boxes impacted at the following locations:

  • Both sides of South Street between Old Slip and the Staten Island Ferry Terminal.
  • Both sides of Broad Street between Water Street and South Street.
  • Both sides of Water Street between Broad Street and Old Slip.
  • Both sides of West 60th Street between Broadway and Columbus Avenue.
  • Both sides of 58th Street between 8th Avenue and Columbus Avenue.
  • Both sides of Columbus Avenue between West 60th Street and West 58th Street.
  • Both sides of 8th Avenue between West 45th Street and West 49th Street.
