USPS Prepares for the 263rd St. Patrick’s Day Parade

NYC Collection Boxes in the Area Receive Temporary Seal / Removal

NEW YORK – In the interest of safety and security, postal officials will temporarily seal or remove Postal Service collection boxes on Friday, March 15, in New York City.

The familiar blue collection boxes will be inaccessible until reopened on Monday, March 18.

US Mail Collection Boxes impacted at the following locations:

  • Both sides of Forest Avenue, between Hart Boulevard and Jewett Avenue.
  • Both sides of Jewett Avenue, between Forest Avenue and Egbert Avenue.
  • 43rd Street between 6th Avenue and Vanderbilt Avenue.
  • 44th Street between 6th Avenue and Vanderbilt Avenue.
  • 45th Street between 6th Avenue and Vanderbilt Avenue.
  • 46th Street between 6th Avenue and Madison Avenue.
  • 47th Street between 6th Avenue and Park Avenue.
  • 48th Street between 6th Avenue and Park Avenue.
  • 5th Avenue between 42nd Street and 86th Street.
  • 50th Street between 6th Avenue and Madison Avenue.
  • 51st Street between 6th Avenue and Madison Avenue.
