USPS Prepares for the Falun Dafa Parade

NYC Collection Boxes in the Area Receive Temporary Seal / Removal

NEW YORK — In the interest of safety and security, postal officials will temporarily seal or remove Postal Service collection boxes on Thursday, May 9, in New York City.

The familiar blue collection boxes will be inaccessible until reopened on Saturday, May 11.

US Mail Collection Boxes impacted at the following locations:

  • Both sides of East 47th Street between 1st Avenue and 2nd Avenue
  • Both sides of 12th Avenue between 41 Street and 44th Street
  • Both sides of 2nd Avenue between East 47th Street and East 42nd Street
  • Both sides of East 42nd Street between 2nd Avenue and 11th Avenue
  • Both sides of 11th Avenue between West 42nd Street and West 41st Street

For additional locations to deposit mail, customers are directed to usps.com and to use Quick Tools to Find Locations. Use the dropdown for collection boxes or post offices to find alternate locations for secure mail deposits in the immediate area.
