NYC Collection Boxes in the Area Receive Temporary Seal / Removal

NEW YORK – In the interest of safety and security, postal officials will temporarily seal or remove Postal Service collection boxes on Saturday, June 8, in New York City.

The familiar blue collection boxes will be inaccessible until reopened on Monday, June 10.

US Mail Collection Boxes impacted at the following locations:

  • Both sides of 43rd Street between 6th Avenue and Madison Avenue.
  • Both sides of 44th Street between 6th Avenue and Madison Avenue.
  • Both sides of 45th Street between 6th Avenue and Madison Avenue.
  • Both sides of 46th Street between 6th Avenue and Madison Avenue.
  • Both sides of 47th Street between 6th Avenue and Madison Avenue.
  • Both sides of 48th Street between 6th Avenue and Madison Avenue.
  • Both sides of 5th Avenue between 42nd and 85th Street.
  • Both sides of 50th Street between 6th and Madison Avenue.
  • Both sides of 51st Street between 6th and Madison Avenue.
