NYC Collection Boxes in the Area Receive Temporary Seal / Removal

NEW YORK – In the interest of safety and security, postal officials will temporarily seal or remove Postal Service collection boxes on Saturday, June 1, in New York City.

The familiar blue collection boxes will be inaccessible until reopened on Monday, June 3.

US Mail Collection Boxes impacted at the following locations:

  • Both sides of 38th Street between 5th and Madison Avenue (Float Assembly).
  • Both sides of 38th Street between Madison and Park Avenue (Formation).
  • Both sides of 37th Street between 5th and Park Avenue (Formation).
  • Both sides of 36th Street between 5th and Madison Avenue (Formation).
  • Both sides of Madison Avenue from 38th Street to 27th Street.
  • Both sides of 27th Street between Madison Avenue and 5th Avenue (Westbound).
  • Both sides of 27th Street between Madison and Park Avenue (Eastbound).
  • Both sides of Madison Avenue between 24th and 26th Street. Both sides of 5TH Avenue between E 59 Street & E79 Street.
