USPS Proposes a New Port Jefferson Post Office

PORT JEFFERSON, NY — The U.S. Postal Service is proposing to relocate the Port Jefferson, NY Main Office located at 544 Jefferson Plaza Port Jefferson, NY 11776 to a yet-to-be-determined location as close as reasonably possible to the current site.

This project will allow the Postal Service to maintain service to ZIP Codes 11733, 11776, and 11777. Additionally, the Postal Service plans to provide services at the current facility until the new location is operational.

Since the Postal Service is sensitive to the impact of this decision on our customers and the community, customer input will be sought and considered when determining a new location. Port Jefferson customers are encouraged to share input within the next 45 days by mailing comments to:

Local customers will be notified via signage in the post office and through a local mailing when a new location is determined.
