USPS Prepares for the Village Halloween Costume Parade

NYC Collection Boxes in the Area Receive Temporary Seal / Removal

NEW YORK — In the interest of safety and security, postal officials will temporarily seal or remove Postal Service collection boxes on Wednesday, October 30, in New York City.

The familiar blue collection boxes will be inaccessible until reopened on Friday, November 1.

US Mail Collection Boxes impacted at the following locations:

  • Both sides of Sullivan St. between Spring St. and Broome St.
  • Both sides of Spring St. between inner roadway of Avenue of the Americas (6th Ave) and Varick St.
  • Both sides of Little Broome St. between Avenue of the Americas (6th Ave) and Varick St.
  • Both sides of Dominick St. between Avenue of the Americas (6th Ave) and Varick St.
  • Both sides of the inner roadway Avenue of the Americas (6th Ave) between Broome St. and Spring St.
  • Both sides of Avenue of the Americas (6th Ave) between Canal St. and West 15th St.
  • Both sides of West 15th St. between 6th Ave and Union Square West
