Easy, convenient way to obtain or renew passports
SHRUB OAK, NY — Travelling later this year, or need to renew a passport before it expires? The Shrub Oak Post Office will host a passport fair on Saturday, April 5 to make obtaining a new passport or renewing your old one an easy and convenient experience.
Appointments are required for this event and can be scheduled online at https://www.usps.com/scheduler.

Current regulations state in addition to presenting a valid passport book when returning to the United States by air, you’ll need to present a U.S. passport at land borders and seaports of entry to return home. You can also use a passport as a valid form of ID when traveling within the United States.
The Postal Service accepts passports and mails them to the U.S. Department of State for processing.
Passport fees for adults (16 years and older) are $130 payable to the Department of State for the application fee and a separate payment of $35 to the Postal Service for its acceptance fee. For persons under 16, the total cost is $100 to the Department of State and a $35 processing fee to the Postal Service. The Postal Service also offers a passport photo service at a cost of $15. The passport application must be paid by cash or check. Credit cards, debit cards, cash or check can be used to cover the cost of photos and passport acceptance fees.
