USPS Prepares for the Tartan Parade

NYC Collection Boxes in the Area Receive Temporary Seal / Removal

NEW YORK – In the interest of safety and security, postal officials will temporarily seal or remove Postal Service collection boxes on Friday, April 4, in New York City.

The familiar blue collection boxes will be inaccessible until reopened on Monday, April 7.

US Mail Collection Boxes impacted at the following locations:

  • Both sides of 44th Street between 5th Ave and 6th Ave
  • Both sides of 45th Street between 5th Ave and 6th Ave
  • Both sides of 6th Ave between 43rd Street and 56th Street
  • Both sides of West 55th Street between 6th Ave and 7th Ave

For additional locations to deposit mail, customers are directed to usps.com and to use Quick Tools to Find Locations. Use the dropdown for collection boxes or post offices to find alternate locations for secure mail deposits in the immediate area.
