USPS Prepares for the Brooklyn Half Marathon

NYC Collection Boxes in the Area Receive Temporary Seal / Removal

NEW YORK – In the interest of safety and security, postal officials will temporarily seal or remove Postal Service collection boxes on Saturday, April 26, in New York City.

The familiar blue collection boxes will be inaccessible until reopened on Monday, April 28.

US Mail Collection Boxes impacted at the following locations:

  • Both sides of Manhattan Ave between Bedford Ave and Nassau Ave
  • Both sides of Manhattan Ave between Nassau Ave and Greenpoint Ave
  • Both sides of Greenpoint Ave Manhattan Ave and Franklin Ave
  • Both sides of Franklin St (Kent Ave) between Greenpoint Ave and Williamsburg St West
  • Both sides of Williamsburg St West between Kent Ave and Flushing Ave
  • Both sides of Flushing Ave between Williamsburg St West and Navy St
  • Both sides of Navy St between Flushing Ave and York St
  • Both sides of York St between Navy St and Gold St
  • Both sides of Gold St between York St and Front St
  • Both sides of Front St between Gold St and Old Fulton St
  • Both sides of Old Fulton St between Front St and Cadman Plaza West
  • Both sides of Cadman Plaza West between Old Fulton St and Joralemon St
  • Both sides of Joralemon St between Cadman Plaza West and Flatbush Ave
  • Both sides of Flatbush Ave from Joralemon St to Grand Army Plaza
  • Both sides of Eastern Parkway between Grand Army Plaza and Flatbush Ave
  • Any/All collection boxes in Prospect Park
