USPS Prepares for the Israeli Day on 5th Ave Parade

NYC Collection Boxes in the Area Receive Temporary Seal / Removal

NEW YORK – In the interest of safety and security, postal officials will temporarily seal or remove Postal Service collection boxes on Saturday, May 17, in New York City.

The familiar blue collection boxes will be inaccessible until reopened on Monday, May 19.

US Mail Collection Boxes impacted at the following locations:

  • Both sides of 5th Ave between East 50th Street and East 59th Street
  • Both sides of East 52nd Street between 6th Avenue and Park Avenue (54th Street to 7th Avenue)
  • Both sides of East 53rd Street between 6th Avenue and Park Avenue (54th Street to 7th Avenue)
  • Both sides of East 54th Street between 6th Avenue and Park Avenue (54th Street to 7th Avenue)
  • Both sides of East 55th Street between 6th Avenue and Park Avenue (54th Street to 7th Avenue)
  • Both sides of East 56th Street between 6th Avenue and Park Avenue (54th Street to 7th Avenue)
  • Both sides of East 57th Street between 6th Avenue and Madison Avenue
  • Both sides of East 58th Street between 6th Avenue and Madison Avenue
  • Both sides of East 59th Street between 6th Avenue and Madison Avenue
  • Both sides of 6th Avenue between East 50th Street and East 59th Street
  • Both sides of Madison Avenue between East 50th Street and East 59th Street
