USPS Prepares for the Labor Day Parade

NYC Collection Boxes in the Area Receive Temporary Seal / Removal

NEW YORK – In the interest of safety and security, postal officials will temporarily seal or remove Postal Service collection boxes on Friday, September 5, in New York City.

The familiar blue collection boxes will be inaccessible until they are reopened on Sunday, September 7.

US Mail Collection Boxes impacted at the following locations:

  • Both sides of 43rd Street between 5th Ave and Madison Ave
  • Both sides of 44th Street between Broadway and Vanderbilt Ave
  • Both sides of 45th Street between Broadway and Madison Ave
  • Both sides of 46th Street between 7th Ave and Madison Ave
  • Both sides of 47th Street between 7th Ave and Madison Ave
  • Both sides of 48th Street between 6th Ave and Madison Ave
  • Both sides of 5th Ave between 42nd Street and 67th Street
  • Both sides of 50th Street between Rockefeller Plaza and Madison Ave
  • Both sides of 51st Street between Rockefeller Plaza and Madison Ave
  • Both sides of East 44th Street between 5th Avenue and Vanderbilt Avenue
  • Both sides of East 45th Street between 5th Avenue and Vanderbilt Avenue
  • Both sides of East 46th Street between 5th Avenue and Vanderbilt Avenue
  • Both sides of East 47th Street between 5th Avenue and Vanderbilt Avenue
  • Both sides of East 48th Street between 5th Avenue and Vanderbilt Avenue
  • Both sides of 5th Avenue between East 44th Street and East 67th Street
